Free Web Harmonium

What is this web harmonium?

This web harmonium is a free online Indian harmonium that runs in your browser using the Web Audio API. It gives you a playable reed-organ keyboard for Sargam practice, Hindi bhajan melodies, Bollywood and ghazal song notes, and raga exploration across Yaman, Bhairav, Kafi, and Malkauns — no install required.

The web harmonium runs with no install, no sign up, and no app store. Open the page, unlock sound, and play with a laptop keyboard, touchscreen, or MIDI controller.

How to Play the Web Harmonium Online

Start with Sa, then build the raga phrase.

  1. Enable sound. Tap the sound button so the browser can start the web harmonium sample.
  2. Use the visible keys. Click or tap the web harmonium keys, or use the mapped QWERTY keys on a laptop.
  3. Read both systems. Each key shows the Western pitch and the Sargam syllable, so beginners can connect C-D-E with Sa-Re-Ga.
  4. Adjust your range. Change transpose, octave, and reverb to match your voice or the bhajan / Bollywood song you are practising.
  5. Record a take. Capture practice sessions locally in your browser and download them from My Recordings.
