Privacy Policy

Web Harmonium is a free browser-based music tool. This policy explains what information is stored on your device, what technical information may be processed by our service providers, and what choices you have when you use the instrument, read song notes, contact us, or view advertising.

Information stored in your browser

Practice streaks, saved presets, settings, and recordings are stored locally in your own browser. They are not uploaded to a Web Harmonium server. You can remove them by deleting this site's browser data.

Microphone, MIDI, and recordings

The tuner processes microphone audio on your device after you grant permission. The harmonium can read notes from a connected MIDI controller after you choose to connect one. Web Harmonium does not upload microphone audio, MIDI performances, or locally saved recordings to its server.

Analytics and hosting

On the production website, we use Google Analytics, Plausible Analytics, and Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand which pages are useful and whether the site is working correctly. These services may receive technical information such as the page URL, referrer, browser and device type, approximate country-level location, IP address, and other identifiers used for measurement, security, and fraud prevention.

Cloudflare hosts and protects the site. Like most hosting and security providers, Cloudflare may process request information such as IP address, browser details, requested URL, time, and security signals to deliver the site and prevent abuse.

Web Harmonium does not request or collect GPS, Wi-Fi, mobile-tower, or other precise location data.

Advertising

Web Harmonium may show ads through Google AdSense on suitable content pages. Third-party vendors, including Google, may place and read cookies in your browser when ads are served. They may also use web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers to collect information for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and personalisation where permitted.

Google products and services may cause information to be collected, shared, and used as described in Google's policies. Learn how Google uses data when you use sites or apps that use Google services, or manage personalisation in Google Ads Settings. You can also limit cookies through your browser settings.

Regional consent

For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, advertising that depends on cookies or personal data is subject to a Google-certified consent message. Where consent is required, you can accept, reject, or manage the available purposes before consent-dependent advertising or storage is used.

Email

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever information you choose to include. We use that information only to reply, handle bug reports, and improve the site.

Children's privacy

Web Harmonium is a general music practice tool and is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
